Oftentimes many people will get ripped off online simply because they simply don’t plan well enough, do enough research or ask questions. If you are considering signing up with an online dental company, the following tips will help you select the best coverage with the most qualified company.
1. Determine what your needs are: individual and family coverage, business and/or group coverage? You will want to know this before you visit any website, because you may have a set budget and will not want to go over it.
2. Do you have the freedom to choose from many discount dental plans? Some sites are only advertising one company and you may want to compare rates with other companies.
3. Are customer care representatives available through an online contact form… Continue reading
Regular dental check up is the foremost advice that any dental health care professional offers. But only few of us act on that expert advice. Simply because most of us are lazy. Besides, we do not want to spend money on something for which there is apparently no urgent need. Laziness is the state of mind and has to be taken care of by us on our own, but so far as expenses are concerned, dental insurance plans take much of the load off one’s pocket. However, while going for a dental insurance plan, there are a few things you must ensure.
1.Make sure that the dental insurance plan allows you to choose your own dentist. If the dentist you want for yourself and your family is not among… Continue reading

Well, I’ve never found an individual dental plan that pays out more than it costs. Between waiting periods, limitations, copays, etc, that’s about the story on that. I think you’re going to be out of pocket on this. Sorry.
I am only licensed in Maine, so I’m not sure how the Arizona insurance laws are, but if you have a pre-existing condition, the insurance company you go through will have a waiting period before your surgery will be covered. Insurance companies don’t want to have someone get a policy just for a procedure that they plan to have done, and then cancel their coverage after. So chances are, if you find an insurance company your going to have to wait anyways. I myself am a licensed agent for MEGA Life and Health Insurance Co. and I know that they operate in AZ, as well as many other states. They have a dental plan, but I’m not sure of the specifics in AZ, because I don’t work there.
Something else that I really recommend looking into is the National Association for the Self Employed. They offer GREAT discounts on Dental, Doctors visits, ect. for a low low price. IT IS NOT INSURANCE, it is a discount program, but it is definatly something looking into. Also, because it isn’t Insurance, there shouldn’t be any waiting period

If the overbite is causing you medical problems it might be covered by your health insurance. Dental insurance usually won’t cover you because it is considered either cosmetic or medical.
No dental insurance plan is very good; they’ll all have a maximum and a waiting period for major work. The best policy that I have in AZ has a maximum of $1500 and a waiting period of 24 months.
You could try a dental school; AZ has one in the Phoenix area:
Here are a couple of links for dental insurance:
You can also try a fee for service discount plan. I’m an insurance agent and my personal plan is the fee for service plan, specifically the Aetna Dental Access plan but which one you get depends upon your area and comparing the fee schedule to find the best for what you need covered. You can check them out here specifically the Aetna Dental Access
Dental insurance will not likely cover the procedure. You may want to explore dental discount plans. They will provide you upfront discount that compete with typical insurance, premiums of only $20 monthly, allow pre-existing conditions and cover cosmetic procedure. The benefits are that you have greater flexibility and in many cases an high return on your investment. You can simply enter your zip code, find a list of providers, call them to determine the exact fee BEFORE and the finance the rest. The procedure are all pre-arraigned with the plan and most national plans will provide customer service reps that will call on your behalf. I’ve used it for my family and no longer pay BCBS high premiums for very little service. I really prefer making the choice and paying only $20 monthly for my entire family and receive upfront cost and savings up to 80 percent – many plans even provide at no additional cost vision, chiropractic and prescription plans for free-
