Developed in the 1970′s and still hugely popular today the Scarsdale Medical Diet was created by Dr. Herman Tarnower. The Scarsdale Diet is a highly regarded weight loss system that concentrates on low-calorie and low-carbohydrate meals and beverages. This system basically comprises of two stages, the first of which covers 14 days of structured meals designed specifically for weight loss, the second 14 day stage, the keep trim stage, is designed to reinforce the weight loss.
